About Me:
Hubby and I have been together for four years and married for almost a year. We have tried to get pregnant for over a year and when I went to my doctor about infertility treatment she launched into all the reasons that I should not get pregnant because of the fact that I have diabetes. At first I was incredulous, my diabetes is very low level and she wouldn't even test me to see why I wasn't getting pregnant. Then I went online and started researching all the risks associated with pregnancy and diabetes and it finally it home just how damaging it could be to the baby and myself. My husband and I agreed that it would be irresponsible to continue to try and concieve. We talked for a long while about the possibility of invitro and surrogacy, but deep in my heart I knew that I wanted to adopt. Now I am researching all of our options. At this point we are leaning toward domestic infant adoption. |
